Kerschbaumer, et al. provide results of a systematic literature review (SLR) on efficacy of synthetic and biological DMARDs, to inform the 2022 update of the EULAR recommendations for the management of rheumatoid arthritis.
In line with the 2022 update of the EULAR recommendations for the management of rheumatoid arthritis, three SLRs were conducted covering the areas of efficacy, safety of DMARD treatment and utilisation of glucocorticoids in RA.
Of the 169 articles selected for detailed review, 47 were included in the final review of evidence for the efficacy of the pharmacological interventions of DMARDs.
